A CHARITY that supports vulnerable families is appealing for volunteers in Exmouth to come forward.
Home-Start supports families with children under five years old who are currently finding life difficult whether through multiple births, isolation, bereavement or a variety of reasons.
These families welcome a listening ear, practical help or emotional support - and a morning or afternoon a week given by a Home-Start volunteer can really support them.
However the organisation closed the Home-Start in Exmouth and District last year - and Home-Start Exeter has had to expand to cover the area, leaving volunteers in the town thin on the ground.
A spokesman said: "We offer a free preparation course for anyone interested in training to be a volunteer the only requirement being that you need to be parent, young or retired! The course starts on 21 April for ten Tuesdays to suit school hours. It's fun, friendly and informal.
