Charity looking for volunteers in Exmouth

A health and care charity is seeking new volunteers in the Exmouth area.

Westbank is holding a drop in session at Age Concern in Rolle Street on Wednesday, June 28 between 10am and noon for people who might be interested in helping others in the community.

Project manager Sarah Forde said: “Westbank is currently looking for volunteers to become men on buses group leaders, exercise or walking buddies, social buddies, cook and chat or gardening buddies, or to become group activity leaders for things such as table tennis and friendship groups.

“In addition volunteer opportunities include supporting a person to return home from hospital and providing short term practical support.

“Volunteers can get involved at a level to suit them, and give as much time as they are able to. Free training is provided and agreed out-of-pocket expenses will also be paid.”
