Two schoolgirls have raised £600 for the RNLI by creating new ice cream flavours.

Ella Mai Dolby, nine, and Freya Day, eight, of Withycombe Raleigh Primary School, won a competition which saw their lemon drizzle and flapjack flavour ice cream designs turned into the final product by Antonio’s, an ice cream parlour on The Strand, Exmouth, before being sold with all the proceeds going to the RNLI.

Antiono’s has scooped a total of £2,300 for the rescue service with its annual competition that has been running for three years.

Tony Badcott, who owns Antonio’s with his wife, Caroline, said: “We are once again delighted to have given another sizeable amount of money to Exmouth RNLI, which does so much for the community. We are only a small family owned business, but we believe passionately that businesses can do their part to support the community however possible.”
