A charity carol concert is being held at St Margaret's Church. Read this and more.

DISPLAY: An art exhibition is being held at Matthews Hall.

Susan Thomson will be exhibiting botanical watercolours and silk paintings this Saturday. Originals, prints and cards will be available.


CHRISTMAS DELIVERIES: Topsham residents are being given the chance to send their Christmas cards through Exeter and District Scouts.

The delivery scheme is operating for the 31st year, and will deliver cards to locations across Exeter and East Devon, as far afield as Budleigh Salterton.

Christmas card post boxes have been placed at Topsham News, the Globe Hotel, Mortimores, Fulfords, and Darts Farm.

Postage costs 25p. Cards must be posted before 1pm this Saturday.


CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT: A charity carol concert is being held at St Margaret’s Church.

Carols by Candlelight takes place this Wednesday, at 7.30pm.

The church choir will be performing traditional carols, and there will also be readings of poetry and prose.

Admission is free, but donations will be collected for Christian Aid.


GROTTO TO OPEN: Santa Claus is going to Darts Farm - to help raise charity funds.

He will be in his grotto this Saturday and Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and on December 22 and 23, between 3pm and 4.30pm.

He will also be at Darts Farm’s late-night shopping event next Wednesday, between 5pm and 7pm. Entry to the grotto costs £2.50, and all proceeds will go to Hospiscare.
