A POPULAR 30-year old pottery group have finally reopened their doors a year after they were left homeless by the county council - and are offering up places on courses beginning next month.

Last summer The Exmouth Ceramic Group was told to vacate their Victoria Road home at the Kennaway Centre after the county council, who ran their adult learning classes out of the building, said there were 'pressures on space.'

The group have been an integral part of the town's cultural scene since 1978, contributing annually to the Exmouth Festival with their Clay in the Park and exhibition.

Now they have moved and set up their studio and kilns at new premises' at the Rethink Centre in Meeting Street - and are set to restart their courses for the first time since.

Liz Potter of the group said: "The support we have had from the town and our sponsors has been has been amazing.

"We have spent the summer getting things prepared and establishing the studio and we are about to start up the courses again.

"We are very happy with the new premises and we have now more control over what happens there.

"There are still places left on some of our courses from the middle of September."
