AN EXMOUTH sportsman involved in a range of community sports has just celebrated his 100th birthday. Leslie Wilkinson, who has lived in Exmouth for 35 years, celebrated his birthday in style with a lunch date with his family and then a champagne reception with his "darling grand-children".Mr Wilkinson used to play water polo, cricket, and was a ladies' hockey umpire up to county level.The centenarian, who ran a wholesale tobacco and confectionary shop in Somerset, was delighted with his telegram from the Queen and with a telegram from the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.He said: "I am just really looking forward to spending some time with my little grandchildren.
