The 1,000-foot long Carnival Breeze and Carnival Magic have been in Europe repatriating staff while cruise holidays have been put on hold due to the coronavirus.

Both ships weigh 130,000 tonnes and hold 3,690 guests and more than 1,300 staff during holidays around the Caribbean, Bermuda, Canada, Europe and the Bahamas.

P&O Cruises confirmed that Carnival liners have been in the sea off Exmouth after members of the public spotted them from Shelly Beach.

A spokesman for Carnival said: “We have ships in Europe repatriating our crew members, including those from Carnival Breeze and Carnival Magic.”
