Carnival club takes the dancing plunge

Budleigh Salterton Carnival Club donned their cowboy hats and stepped into the swimming pool on Sunday afternoon for a sponsored aqua line dancing session.Rosemary Pratt, their able instructor, said it was a first for her.It turned out to be great fun and raised more than £700 for the carnival club to give to local organisations and charities.The carnival club would like to thank Rosemary and Swimtime for the use of the pool and, of course, everyone who sponsored them. The carnival club's next event is on Saturday, December 20, with the annual Christmas Dance with disco, hot food and a top comedian. The tickets are selling very quickly and are just £20 to include hot food supplied by HM Royal Marines. Ring (01395) 442067 now, to avoid disappointment On January 10, 2009, there will be a pantomime for one night only - Dick Whittington - performed by the Wonder Production Company. Tickets cost £9 for adults and £7 for children and OAPs.
