every now and again we get road rage stories in the newspapers and on the news, telling how somebody got out of their car and ranted etc... It never seems to be mentioned that the shouting recipient almost killed the shouter, which is, I think, a little bit worse than being shouted at, but that doesn't make a good headline like 'roadrage'. On Friday, driving home from Exeter, the woman behind me in a white Mazda was either telephoning or texting for almost the whole journey, not spending much time looking at my car - and always a split second away from a crash. I wanted to stop and say things, but I would have been the guilty one, wouldn't I? And all because roadrage became a power phrase, a bit like credit crunch. Pat Wagstaffe, Denmark Road, Exmouth
