Car park construction alert

PUBLISHED: 10:30 03 January 2016

Lympstone motorists who park at Underhill Car Park are being warned that building work will mean fewer spaces for up to 12 weeks.

Contractors for the Environment Agency will start replacing the footbridge across the Watton Brook at the car park on January 11.

One of the first tasks will be to create a temporary bridge to maintain pedestrian access. However, this means that up to 15 of the 84 parking spaces will be unavailable during the 12-week contract period and residents – some of whom are car park permit holders – are warned that spaces may not be as easily available. East Devon District Council has apologised for the inconvenience.
