Car fire in Withycombe Raleigh

EXMOUTH firefighters were called Withycombe Raleigh on Sunday afternoon after a car caught fire.

EXMOUTH firefighters were called Withycombe Raleigh on Sunday afternoon after a car caught fire.

The crew was sent to Park Lane shortly after 4pm following a call made to the fire brigade saying a car was on fire.

When the firefighters arrived they could smell the burning vehicle, so located its owner and using one hose reel jet extinguished a small fire which had broken out in the car's engine.

The crews made the vehicle safe using small tools.

The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
