It has been suggested I send this photograph to you in the hope that you may print it and ask if anyone knows where and when it may have been taken, and what unit it is.
The person in the bottom, righthand corner is Sgt Cyril G Linnett who was born in 1915. Someone may also recognise a relative among the other soldiers.
Suggestions received: it may be Royal Marines at camp between Lympstone and Exton, or Royal Marines at Dalditch Camp on Woodbury Common.
