AN 18-year-old Budleigh Salterton pupil is on a six-week international fact-finding mission at the request of Prime Minister Gordon Brown.Caitlin Bawn, who recently finished taking her A-levels at King's School, in Ottery St Mary, is one of 100 people picked to travel the world playing a major part in the new global economy.Caitlin, who was selected for the British Council-run scheme after a gruelling four-day interview in London, will attend a conference with Mr Brown in November.She has also been chosen to be one of the project's 12 media leaders and is expected to share her travel experiences via the internet. While Caitlin is away she will take part in a cultural immersion course, which includes a trip to the Taj Mahal and learning basic Hindi.She will also travel to Calcutta experiencing the culture first-hand.
