Bystock Nature Reserve: dumping fears

I visited Devon Wildlife Trust’s Bystock Nature Reserve on Friday and was shocked to find that a thoughtless person had dumped a considerable quantity of soil turfs in the car park.

As these have been tipped on land belonging to the charity, it will have to bear the cost of disposal.

Unfortunately, fly tipping will damage the ecology of this sensitive area. My concern is that the council’s new charging policy at the recycling centre encourages this irresponsible behaviour, leading to the ruination of our countryside.
