Bystock Court, Exmouth, has been put on the market for £1.9million

Following its closure at the end of 2015, former care home Bystock Court in Exmouth has come to the market with Savills at a guide price of £1.9m.

The detached, Grade II Listed mansion house with Edwardian wing extension and annexed flat is set in around 24 acres of gardens and farmland, in Old Bystock Drive.

Originally built as a private residence, Bystock Court has since been used in various forms as a residential home for people with disabilities and learning disabilities. According to selling agents Savills, the property has potential for a range of uses, subject to planning.

Nick Jones, director at Savills Development in Exeter, said: “Bystock Court is a significant property offering around 31,000 sq ft of accommodation in all with extensive grounds.

“With a number of potential development options, subject to planning, we are anticipating interest from residential and retirement living developers, educational and institutional buyers, the hotels and leisure market and other care providers.”

Savills is marketing Bystock Court by private treaty on an unconditional basis.
