A group of East Devon businesses have put their hands in their pockets to support a local charity’s young footballers.
The East Devon Business Initiative (EDBI) – which meets weekly at Woodbury Park – arranged for a smart new kit for the youngsters, who attend CEDA – an Exeter disability support charity.
EDBI’s outgoing chairman Helen Mattacott said: “One of our members has a son who attends CEDA, and heard their young football team needed new shirts, so we were delighted to be able to help out. CEDA is a fantastic local charity and as a group of local businesspeople, we were more than happy to lend a hand.”
The charity’s sports and activities leader Howard Hoskins said: “The new shirts have provided a fantastic opportunity for the lads. It makes them all feel much more a part of the team.”
