An Exmouth bus driver has been disqualified from driving after causing a collision.
Jamie Skyrme, 25, of Sylvan Court, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention at Exeter Magistrates Court.
The court heard that Skyrme was driving a Stagecoach double-decker bus on Topsham Road in Countess Wear, Exeter, on June 20, with about 10 passengers on board, when he drove the wrong way around some ‘keep left’ bollards.
This led to a collision between a car and a motorcycle.
The court heard Skyrme had worked as a bus driver for four years, and that his status as a professional driver was an aggravating factor.
Magistrates disqualified Skyrme from driving for four weeks, and fined him £350.
He was also ordered to pay £60 costs, and a £30 victim surcharge.
