Young people who attend Budleigh’s youth club were treated to an appearance by a selection of owls, which they got to hold and learn about.

The experience was courtesy of Sharon Beech, of Hawkridge Birds of Prey Centre, in Exmouth, who spoke to the youngsters about the animals.

The club, for young people between the ages of 11 and 19, meets every Thursday during school term time, between 6.30pm and 9pm.

More members to the club, which meets at Venture Hall, in Moor Lane, are always welcome.

Members of the club recently had their say on what they wanted money set aside from housing developments to be spent on, choosing a single-sided sports wall.
