Mystery surrounds the identity of the person behind an unusual form of street-art in Budleigh Salterton.

At the weekend, residents found a metal post inside the gentlemen’s club car park, in Marine Parade had been ‘yarn bombed’.

Someone had wrapped the post, next to the Raleigh Wall, in a woollen scarf and had put a bobble hat on top.

Attached to the knitted street-art is a tag which reads: “This post had been Yarnbombed! Kniffiti against mean street furniture.”

As of Monday (October 16) the post was still wrapped in the woollen items.
