The winners of Budleigh Salterton annual Christmas window dressing contest have been announced.

An independent panel of judges picked their favourites in the chamber of commerce contest.

The competition is held every year, giving traders an opportunity to decorate their window displays and interiors with a common theme.

As usual, the judging took place in the week leading up to Budleigh’s annual late night shopping event held on Friday, December 1.

This year’s theme was ‘the songs of Christmas’.

In the best-dressed window category, Oxfam, in High Street, took first place with Rowan Tree and Children’s Hospice South West finishing second and third respectively.

In the interior class, Marguerites hairdressers won this year ahead of Vanilla Sky and The Feathers.

A spokesman for the chamber of commerce said; “Thanks to all who entered

Independent Judges were most impressed with the high level and hard work shown in the displays.”
