Managing director Mark Gribble spoke of his excitement at opening the business in Budleigh Salterton.

A new butchers in Budleigh Salterton has opened its doors for the first time.

Gribble’s Butchers opened its new High Street home in a building previously vacated by A J Coles and Sons, which closed after more than 60 years in the town.

The shop had been closed for a number of weeks to allow a refurbishment to take place.

The ribbon was cutting, done by Marion and Sarah Coles, marked the opening of the town’s new business.

Managing director Mark Gribble said: “We are all very excited to be part of Budleigh Salterton and we will continue to run the shop as a traditional Devon butchers, sourcing meat and products locally.

“We are looking forward to being able to contribute to this lovely town, being part of the community and meeting everyone.

“We are delighted that Kristian (Martin) and Debs (Debra Keeler) are continuing to work in the shop, as they are so well known in the town.”
