On The Buses, the complete story, by Craig Walker, tells the whole story from the show's inception through to the three spin-off feature films it spawned.
The book includes details of cast, crew, locations and the many famous faces and catch phrases which made up one of the most popular sitcoms ever to appear on TV.
Reg Varney lived in the town for many years after making it his home when he retired from acting.
