BUDLEIGH Salterton Croquet Club's recent summer fair has secured sufficient funds to maintain ten lawns, the bowling green and other facilities.
The club welcomed scores of residents and holidaymakers keen to try their hand at a range of games, or to bag a bargain.
Club spokesman Charles Townshend said: "Many people took advantage of the fine sunny weather to venture on to the lawns to have a try with mallets or bowls and a number signed up for the late season membership offer.
