BUDLEIGH Salterton town council has refused to support a planning application to build a cliff top home and garage at Sherbrook House, 23 Northview Road.
The members raised concerns over the stability of the cliffs, said the plan was detrimental to the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), was within a site of scientific interest and was within a wildlife site.
The council said a previous application made in 1977 was refused by planners on the grounds the plans would be detrimental to the AONB because of the prominent site.
