BUDLEIGH Salterton Carnival Club handed over a cheque for 500 to help the flood clean-up efforts of the town's cricket club.
Carnival Club chairwoman Julia Callander presented the cheque to John Eggleton, Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club treasurer at the carnival club's AGM.
The cricket club said it would be able to reopen at the start of next month thanks to the town's generosity in supporting its flood appeal.
John Eggleton said: "It was most heartening to receive a donation from a fellow town club as this highlighted the spirit of community and co-operation within the town.
"Thanks to the help given by many organisations and individuals, the cricket club would be able to re-open on April 3.
