PINEWOOD Residential and Nursing Home raised �377 for a local charity last weekend after holding its spring fete.

Scores of visitors dug deep and gave generously in support of Budleigh Salterton Lions Club.
A host of events, stalls and entertainment ensured the day was a success.
Pinewood director Andy Sadeghi said: "A lot of thanks should go to all those people who donated their items for the bring and buy, raffle and cake stall.
"Other events included two owls from Sharandys birds of prey and cream teas with some lovely clotted cream from the Budleigh Salterton Creamery.
"Mike the minibus driver also had his pottery out on display."

The weight of the cake in the weigh-the-cake competition was a healthy 7lb 7 oz and the teddy bear's name was John.
