Budleigh Salterton beach to become dance stage
BUDLEIGH Salterton's beach will on Wednesday April 29 become a stage for nationally-acclaimed dancer Charlie Morrissey.
BUDLEIGH Salterton's beach will on Wednesday April 29 become a stage for nationally-acclaimed dancer Charlie Morrissey.
The night time performance looking at the relationship between humans and the environment takes place at 8,30pm under the cliffs west of Steamers Steps.
The performance, created by Mr Morrissey, is a mix between live dance and images which will be projected onto the cliff face.
The performance is part of Deep Time - a trilogy of events taking place along the Jurassic Coast until the end of the year.

Anyone wishing to take part in the performance is invited to turn up at 5pm on the day where they will be taught a simple sequence of dance moves.
As darkness falls, the group will perform the moves to music with the sea in the background.

When the live performance ends, a film wil be projected onto the cliffs.
Julie Penfold, director of PVA MediaLab which commissioned the event as part of the Jurassic Coast Arts Programme, said: "The performance is something anyone can take part in. The more the merrier.
"The piece will be very simple and fun to do. You don't need to have any performance experience - just come along and take part."
Dancer Charlie Morrissey trained in dance and choreography at Dartington College of Arts and has been working in the UK and many other countries around the world for nearly 20 years.
He creates large and small-scale site specific theatres for his diverse performances.
