Budleigh Salterton actor leaves £302k in will

BUDLEIGH Salterton On the Buses star Reg Varney, who died at the end of November following a chest infection, has left £302,000 in his will.

BUDLEIGH Salterton On the Buses star Reg Varney, who died at the end of November following a chest infection, has left £302,000 in his will.

Most of the cash goes to his much-loved only daughter, Jean Marley, 59, and her husband Keith.

The 70s TV star, who played Stan Butler in the popular ITV series, also left cash sums to his two grandchildren.

Reg, who lived in Dark Lane for the last 20 years, died at the Pinewood Nursing Home at the end of November while he was recovering from a chest infection.

He moved to Budleigh with his wife Lilian to be close to their daughter.

Reg had lived alone since his wife's death in 2002.
