Budleigh Salterton’s last remaining bank is set to close, it has been confirmed.

Lloyds Bank customers in Budleigh have been sent letters confirming the Fore Street branch will close its doors for the last time in January 2019.

This means the town will be left with no permanent bank in the town after Barclays and Natwest both closed in 2015.

A spokesperson for Lloyds said the branch is set to be replaced by a new mobile banking service – similar to the one provided by Natwest.

Customers are also being advised they can use the nearest branch in Sidmouth.
