For the fifth year, the Public Hall, Budleigh Salterton, will host an 'Evening of India' to raise funds for Cancer Research UK on Saturday, November 11.

Budleigh Salterton representatives of a cancer charity are gearing up for their annual ‘Evening of India’ event.

The Public Hall, in Station Road, will be transformed into an Indian restaurant for the night, in aid of Cancer Research UK on Saturday, November 11, at 7pm.

This is the fifth annual holding of the event, organised by the Budleigh committee of the cancer charity.

Guests will be offered a choice of three curries from the buffet as well as a dessert followed by coffee.

The meals will be prepared, cooked and served by the catering department of the Royal Marines, based at Lympstone.

A spokesman for the Budleigh Salterton Cancer Research UK committee said many ‘local’ businesses have donated funds to the event to pay for food.

There will also be a quiz and a chance to win prizes in a raffle.

Tickets for the event are available from Hayes Travel, High Street, at £18 each.
