On behalf of the charity Action for Children (previously known as NCH), may I say a very big thank you to all the people of Budleigh Salterton who supported this charity so generously during the house-to-house collection held in September.

Those who were prepared to go from door to door, and those who gave donations, have meant that £2,591.60 has been raised. This is the highest total we have ever reached.

This will greatly help Action for Children, which has nearly 450 projects across the UK and works with nearly 170,000 children, young people and their families.

This includes disabled children and their families, children who have suffered abuse, young people who are homeless and young carers who look after sick or disabled family members.

Thank you all very much for doing your bit to improve their lives.

Susan Bond,

Honorary Secretary,

10 Perriams Place,

Budleigh Salterton.
