Budleigh residents urged to have say on town blueprint
PUBLISHED: 10:00 28 October 2015
Residents of Budleigh Salterton have an opportunity to give their views on the type of future developments in the town.
A project team of residents, chaired by Roger Sherriff, has been working to develop a questionnaire, which is being delivered to all households next month.
The completed questionnaires will enable the project team to commence various consultation and evaluation tasks with the aim of producing a draft Neighbourhood Plan.
Forms should be returned by the end of November to the tourist information centre (TIC), Budleigh Library, the town council office or by using the letter box in the door of the Public Hall.
Chris Kitson, deputy mayor, part of the project team, said: “This is a tremendous opportunity for us to have a community-driven plan formally adopted by East Devon District Council (EDDC), which will have value when planning applications are considered and will be underpinned by the East Devon local plan, which is now with Government for approval.”
