A one-day art exhibition is set to take place in Budleigh Salterton on Monday (May 29).

Budleigh Salterton Art Club will be holding the event, at the Public Hall, from 10am until 4pm.

The event is being organised as part of the town’s annual Gala Week taking place from Saturday (May 27) to Sunday, June 4.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to view and purchase original artwork and see artists paint ‘live’ during the event.

A spokesman for the art club said: “The event has proved to be very popular with the public.”

There will also be homemade cakes, tea and coffee available at the exhibition, which is free to enter.

Budleigh Salterton Art Club, which was formed in 1979, has more than 130 members with skill levels ranging from amateurs to a number of professional artists. The group is led by internationally-renowned artist Alan Cotton.
