Budleigh Salterton Lions Club is holding a jumble sale this weekend. Read this and more.
JUMBLE SALE: Budleigh Salterton Lions Club is holding a jumble sale.
It takes place at the Public Hall on Saturday from 2pm. People are asked to take any saleable items of clothing, bric-a-brac, books, and other jumble, to the hall on the morning of the sale between 8.30am and noon.
The sale is being held to raise money for Edukaid, a charity helping to renovate schools in Africa.
Edukaid will also be the beneficiary of the club’s latest cash bingo evening, which will be held at the Public Hall tomorrow, with eyes down at 7.30pm.
EXTENSION: Amended plans to extend an East Budleigh home have been supported by the parish council.
The plan, for Ashbury House in Oakhill, will now be considered by East Devon District Council.
GARDEN JOY: Fifteen gardens will be opening for charity in Otterton this Sunday.
The Otterton Secret Gardens event will take place between 11am and 6pm.
As well as seeing the gardens, there will be the chance to take a free train ride, have refreshments at Otterton Mill and the Kings Arms, and enjoy a cream tea in the village hall.
The event is in aid of Budleigh Salterton Hospiscare and the village church.
SHOW TIME: A flower and produce show is being held at Knowle Village Hall on Saturday.
The show begins at 2.15pm. Plant stalls, a raffle, teas and other produce will be available.
