BUDLEIGH in Bloom is preparing to give an area of the town a much-needed facelift in an attempt to attract wildlife.
The group recently canvassed residents living in Fore Street Hill after it was felt the area could be improved.
Now the bloom group is to tidy up the area, renovate an existing bench and plant shrubs to attract butterflies and bees.
Budleigh Salterton in Bloom spokeswoman Pat Prew said: "We also want to try to keep it to the natural look so the primroses and daffodils that are already there will remain."
The bloom group is anticipating a busy May. From the end of the month members will begin the town's summer planting.
The group's annual coffee morning will be held at 9.30am in the Public Hall on Tuesday May 26 during Gala Week. Entrance is 50p to include a drink and biscuit.
The group is always keen to hear from new volunteers or committee members.
