Budleigh in Bloom had a very successful evening on Saturday when they held their annual presentation event, to thank all their sponsors and supporters. Around 100 people attended and certificates and cups were presented by Mayor Chris Kitson. The town judges were very impressed with all of the entries - some categories were divided by only one or two points. The overall winner of all the different categories was Palmer Court as a communial garden - their efforts were also commended by the South West in Bloom judge who suggested they should perhaps enter a national competition.Chairman Pat Prew and the committee thanked all of their supporters and hoped that they would put on a similar colourful display next year to enhance the town. Planting for winter starts this Sunday at 8am, along the brook in Fore Street, and will continue as and when plants are ready.
