To encourage a feeling of optimism and security, Home Instead Exeter & East Devon have teamed up with Budleigh Salterton Community Hospital Health and Wellbeing Hub to hold a home care fair.
Home Instead’s recruitment co-ordinator, Tracy, will be on hand to answer any questions around what a career in care is all about, and how it can work around busy lifestyles and other priorities. And for those who would like to know more about the services that Home Instead provide, their home care consultants will also be available to explain how they tailor-make care packages to suit each individual.
The Home Care Fair takes place at Budleigh Hub on Tuesday, June 29, 12-3pm. Home Instead are offering all attendees a free drink and cake from the café. which is run by Launchpad, who provide adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to develop employment, social and independent living skills within a safe and supported environment.
Marketing manager Charlotte Reynolds said: “We are really looking forward to hosting the Home Care Fair. It will give us the chance to answer any questions that the community may have with regards to the support that we can provide, and also importantly, we can do the same for those that may be interested in a career in care. We provide a very different service, that is unhurried, and person centred, and this benefits the client and the care giver equally.”
Charlotte added: “This event also gives us the opportunity to support Launchpad, who make the best cakes, and offer people the chance to look around Budleigh Hub which is an excellent local community resource, which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of young and old in East Devon. Please come along, you will be very welcome!
“It’s great to see East Devon opening up. Many residents have faced changes with regards to employment and some are still feeling challenged by the prospect of returning to a new ‘normal’ way of life.”
Home Instead Exeter & East Devon are the only home care provider in the South West region to have been awarded a 5* Outstanding rating in all areas by the CQC. For further information on the event, home care services and career opportunities, contact Home Instead on 01395 300600.
