APPEAL LODGED: The owners of Pooh Cottage Holiday Park, Bear Lane, have lodged an appeal against the district council’s refusal to grant permission for change of use of land to store up to 47 caravans. The caravans would have been stored over the winter, but planners had concerns about highway safety, an increase in traffic and that the plans would not suit an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

BUNGALOW PLAN: Town planners have backed proposals for a two-storey extension and conservatory at 2 Tidwell Close. Councillor Tom Wright said the home was on such a slope that, even if the extension was built, it would still look like a bunglow. He said: “I know that sometimes this council has not been comfortable with bungalow conversions, but I think, in this case, you will still see a bungalow.” The plans will be considered by district planners.
