An annual fun run which is part of Budleigh Salterton's Gala Week is set to take place on Sunday, May 27.

Families are being urged to take part in the event, which will start at Lime Kiln Car Park at around 11.30am.

The run, organised by Budleigh and District Chamber of Commerce, will be a mile long, taking in Budleigh seafront and returning to the car park.

Tom Olivelle, of Budleigh Dental Practice, in Station Road, will be sponsoring the event this year. There will be medals for everyone taking part.

The entry fee will be £2 for adults and £1 for those under the age of 18.

Free water will be provided by the town’s Co-op store.

The chamber is also organising the popular nostalgia evening at the Public Hall, in Station Road, from 7pm on Tuesday,
May 29.

Budleigh historian Nick Loman will be hosting
the event and entry
costs £5.
