A FENCE bordering a property in Northview Road, Budleigh Salterton, has not been backed by town planners - because a hedge is preferred.
The owners of Chine Cottage, 29 Northview Road applied to erect a 1.83 metre-high wooden fence.
But town planers on Monday recommended refusal, because it was 'out of keeping with the area.'
The plans will now be considered by East Devon planners.
