A concert by Budleigh Male Voice Choir will raise money for a domestic abuse charity.

The 60-strong group of singers, who perform all over the region and at international choir festivals, will be singing in Exeter in July to raise funds for SAFE (Stop Abuse For Everyone).

Carol Eastley, a member of the church, came up with the concert idea with her husband Richard.

She said: “We’re great fans of the Budleigh Salterton Male Voice Choir and we wrote and asked them if they would be prepared to give a concert in aid of SAFE. We sent them all the information about the charity. Then they wrote giving us some dates to choose for the following year – they are a very popular choir and were booked up 12 months in advance.”

The concert takes place at 7.30pm on July 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Exeter.
