After an absence of more than 20 years, Budleigh Salterton carnival returns on Saturday, September 30.
Budleigh is gearing up for the return of its own carnival procession after an absence of more than 20 years.
The town’s illuminated carnival will be taking place on Saturday, September 30.
A procession of mechanical floats and walking entries will be departing from Stoneborough Lane at around 7.30pm.
From there, it will head down East Budleigh Road towards the war memorial before turning towards the town centre.
It will parade along Fore Street and High Street and then turn into Station Road, past the Public Hall and the Green before returning to the start point.
There will also be two barbecues on the go, one at the procession start/finish and another in the town centre.
BayFM will also be at the carnival along with Exmouth Town Crier Roger Bourgein.
There will be jugglers, musical performances and a post carnival karaoke at the Dog and Donkey, Knowle afterwards.
Organisers hope that the carnival will attract enough support to make the event a permanent part of the East Devon Carnival circuit.
