Budleigh burglary to be investigated

Police are investigating the possible burglary of a Budleigh Salterton home while the residents were away on holiday.

Officers say a double-glazed glass window in a back door was smashed at a property in Stoneyford Park, between 4am on Thursday, January 5, and 6.15pm on Monday, January 16. Police do not know whether anything was stolen.

PCSO Chantalle Major said there had been 15 crimes reported in the last two months. During that time, 53 incidents were reported to the police. There were 11 domestic-related incidents, 10 of concern for welfare, eight anti-social behaviour reports and seven crime-related logs. PCSO Major said one death, five reports of suspicious people or incidents, four alarm activations, three driving-related matters and two road traffic collisions were dealth with by police.
