The police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anyone acting suspiciously, following a burglary in Budleigh Salterton.
An Exmouth Road home was burgled between June 30 and July 16.
PC Simon Evans said the culprit forced a UPVC door to gain entry to the property.
He said: “It is believed the offender accessed the property by walking through the woods.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the officer in charge, PC Johnson, or Exmouth CID, on 08452 777444, quoting crime reference KE/11/1889.
