TWO trapped men had to be cut free from a car after a vehicle struck a house and overturned in Exmouth.

A fire crew used two sets of hydraulic cutting equipment to release the men. The incident occurred in Exeter Road, at around 2am this morning, June 17.

The police, paramedics and a special rescue vehicle also attended the scene.

A spokesperson for the fire authority said: "A car had struck a house and overturned trapping two male persons inside the car.

"Two male casualties were released by fire service personnel using two sets of hydraulic cutting and stabilising equipment and one hose reel.
