Brand new car towed off Exmouth estuary to beat incoming tide

A BRAND new Audi convertible had to be towed off the estuary, near the Imperial recreation ground, on Friday after it became stuck in the mud.

A BRAND new Audi convertible had to be towed off the estuary, near the Imperial recreation ground, on Friday after it became stuck in the mud.

The vehicle was towed to safety by tractor just ahead of the incoming tide.

Exmouth coastguard was called to the scene.

An onlooker said: "The tractor pulled the vehicle off before the tide washed it away.
