Police believe that the body of a woman found on Budleigh Salteron beach last Friday evening is of Jayne Brocklehurst.
Jayne Brocklehurst, 48, was last seen on Saturday August 8 at her family’s flat, sparking a search by emergency services.
A body of an indentified female was found at the west end of Budleigh Beach in the evening of Friday August 14 by a member of the public
The police were called at 5.53pm and they cordoned off the area.
A police spokesman said: “The body was found not far from Steamer steps by a member of the public and is believed to be the missing person Jayne Brocklehurst.”
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the family have been informed.
