A VESSEL which exceeded the speed requirement in the Exe Estuary created a heavy wash causing a passing boat containing two people and a dog to overturn.
The incident occurred last Sunday, 20 September, at around 11.50am.
People in a passing cruiser rescued the distressed swimmers.
No rescue services were needed.
