BUDLEIGH Salterton Temple Methodist Church's recent animal blessing raised £25 in aid of two animal charities.Dogs, hamsters, cats, tortoises, a rabbit, guinea pig - and a chicken - attended the church lawn service with their owners. The retiring collection of £25 was split between the Blue Cross and the East Devon branch of Cats Protection. The service is the second of its kind held by the church and it is hoped the event will be held annually.
