BICTON College is this week busy taking part in Colleges' Week celebrations - a national event to celebrate the role colleges play in transforming the lives of learners.

Today students and staff are tucking into the Biggest Business Breakfast.

Tomorrow they will be working off the calories during the day's skill's challenge where students will be constructing boats out of willow, and then racing them on Bicton lake.

Bicton College principal, Louise Twigg said: "We are pleased to be part of Colleges Week. This celebration will demonstrate the valuable role colleges' play in unlocking talent and in developing skills and confidence."

Colleges Week, 10-16 November, has been coordinated and organised by the Association of Colleges (AoC), the Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills (DIUS) and the Learning & Skills Council (LSC).
